The Story
Everyone has been touched by cancer in some way. We all know someone who has suffered from this disease. Whether it’s personally, a family member, or a friend, we have all felt the devastating effects of cancer.
Too often in Malaysia, cancer is diagnosed at a late stage - a shocking 75% of cases. Many also struggle with the emotional and financial burden that the disease brings.
This is why EMPOWERED now organizes mass awareness and screening projects to combat this problem. Their Patient Support Program also supports those who have been diagnosed with cancer – through covering the costs and providing moral support. They have already reached over 2000 individuals.
To support these inspiring projects, EMPOWERED have organised a Lung Cancer Awareness Charity Run on the 11th November at Kepong Metropolitan Park to raise money for their amazing projects.
The staff at NGOhub have decided to join the run!
None of us are devoted runners so it will be a real challenge for our team. We deserve all the support we can get!
