#WashTheWaste: Turning one man's scrap into another's treasure

The Story

Hey guys, I am Chirag Malani, an average teenage boy with a deep passion in helping Mother Earth regain its lost glory. As a boy who grew up in the city, completely devoid of nature's wonders, every trip to the natural world would hold me in absolute awe and it was during these times I realised that she is losing her beauty.

For me, giving back to the enviroment is not just a deed that is done once in a blue moon. Instead, it's every human being's duty to ensure that the serenity and magnificence of Nature that we are blessed with is treasured and preserved wiith impeccable care. Unfortunately, this is not the case in today's rapidly progressive world where profits precede environmental and societal importance. The issue of the improper disposal of cooking oil is one such example where ignorance of the community towards its ill-effects takes center stage. This project for which I have decided to fundraise is not a mere one-time event with short term consequences, instead it is an effort which is trying to introduce a change from within by relying on awareness and knowledge.

Personally, being a youth of the modern day and age, I am genuinely worried for the future that beholds us. The evidence is loud and clear, if we are to take the enviromental concerns for granted, everyone suffers. This initiatives that my comrades and I have undertaken is undoubtedly small, but it certainly holds the power to bring about a revolution; in the way we manage our waste as well as in the way we manage our increasingly limited resources. After all, even a small ripple can cause a big wave. Furthermore, the current pandemic has thought us the impoprtance of hygiene with the presence of soap being a fundamental element. This project which we support is nothing less than a win-win situation where  not only awareness is created, but the general public is educated on how to produce their own soaps.  With enough support, this project can evolve to ensure that even the communities in the less-populated regions are set to benefit.

All in all, this fundraising event needs the support of all of us in order to reach its goals and beyond. Like Neil Armstrong once said, "One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind". Our everyday actions hold the power to make the biggest changes. All it takes is the determination to make this world a better place.
