A Better Place for Strays

The Story

I’m a 20 years old Electrical and Electronics Engineering student, Millenium Wong, who is inspired by his own mother to be compassionate towards strays. Being very close to my mom, I always know that she is some sort of a dog whisperer, easily befriending even the fiercest of strays. It did not really occur to my why some of these dogs even exist until recently when I become part of AIESEC in Kuching and begin to plan for this project entitled “Animal’s Hope”. Long story short: by taking my time to research and understand the issue of animal welfare, I began to realise that it is the lack of compassion towards strays that causes them to exist. Not everyone is evil as they have a reason for being that way, in this case those strays exist and cause issues such as rabies because of the poor treatment they get from certain individuals of society. Therefore, as a member of society that wants to ensure a better place for strays, I am willing to raise funds for a very noble animal shelter known as Sibu Animal Rescue Society (SARS) so that they can continue being the hope for strays as they are the few sanctuaries for these strays. Every donation counts regardless of size, thus to anyone who sees this fundraising, I hope that you will take a small portion of your time and energy to donate for an even greater cause. Thank you.
