The Story

Hello there! Have you heard of nocturnal animals?

These fascinating creatures often work in the dark night as we drift into sleep and help us in more ways than we know. Lesser known nocturnal animals such as Slow Loris who help pollination and the Small Toothed Palm Civet which helps with seed dispersal play an important role in the sustainability of our ecosystem.

Sounds amazing right? Who would have thought we receive so much help from these animals that most of us have never even seen in real life?

Did you know there are hundreds of nocturnal animal species in the world?

I'm Tharsana Ravi, a member of the Malaysian Youth Volunteer for the PAWsitive Light 1.0 Project. We raise awareness of nocturnal animals as well as their importance to the ecosystem and mankind.

It is heartbreaking that the darkness poses threats to these enchanting begins. Habitat loss and fragmentation due to human activities have disrupted their homes, making them struggle to seek shelter and food. The light pollution from cities and towns disorients their navigating system, making it harder for them to hunt and survive.

Yes, they are being threatened by extinction and are often misunderstood. This is why supporting and donating to our cause is crucial for their survival. You can make a difference in protecting these remarkable creatures. The funds raised from this campaign will be used to pay field assistants to support our research on nocturnal tourism practices, and provide workshops and support for facilities transitioning to better practices for nocturnal watching which will enhance species conversation and animal welfare, as well as to donate books and organize outreach activities to create more awareness for the public on these wonderful animals.
