Food waste is a significant and pressing issue in Malaysia, owing to a complex interplay of cultural practices, economic factors, and insufficient waste management systems. Malaysia, a country that takes pride in its diverse culinary heritage, faces the paradoxical challenge of celebrating its rich food culture while also grappling with the negative consequences of food waste.

Hi, everyone! I'm Liang Yi Jing, a member of the Malaysian Youth Volunteer (MYV) for the Clean Our Plate 10.0 project. Raising awareness about food waste has become critical in a world where millions go hungry while tonnes of food is thrown away. Consider a society in which every plate of food is important, individuals are aware of their consumption habits, and communities band together to reduce the strain on our environment and resources. This is the vision that is propelling the global movement to reduce food waste. Therefore, your generous contributions will fuel our food donation initiatives as well as educational workshops aimed at raising awareness about effective food waste management.
