The Story

Hello everyone! I am Jia Cheng, and I am part of the youth volunteer project, "Clean Our Plate 10.0." Our mission is clear: to tackle food waste head-on and ignite a revolution in better food waste management here in Malaysia.
Introducing Clean Our Plate 10.0, a game-changing initiative by AIESEC in Sunway that's set to revolutionize how we tackle the critical issue of food waste while making a significant impact on SDG12: Responsible Consumption and Production
This campaign will take you from the dinner table to the impact of food waste in real life. The United Nations Environmental Programme 2021 reports that Malaysia produces the most waste in Southeast Asia per person, at 91 kg annually.
However, in this information-booming era, people find it hard to identify this silent but urgent problem. We always focus on domestic economic growth, gender issues, inflation, political crises, and others, but this problem, which occurs daily at our dining table, seems less important than others.
Therefore, whether we have a small or large amount to contribute, as Malaysians, we have a responsibility to do so. These contributions will be given to NGO that provides free meals to the hungry and food rations to the needy. Our efforts not only mitigate this impact but also raise attention in this society and get their sight back on the plates.
The target of this fundraiser is RM250. It appears to be a small sum that MAY NOT have a significant impact on society. However, overt affect always comes from small efforts.
Let’s get the waste to wealth and make the world turn well
