RM10 to Save Lives!

The Story

A LITTLE ABOUT US 

Hey y'all! We are a group of students from The University of Nottignham Malaysia and we are helping SERUM with a fundraising campaign together, to provide for communities in need of proper sanitation and to help protect them during the outbreak of covid-19 pandemic.  

For every RM10 donated, one Hygiene Kit will be provided to these communities. 

The Hygiene Kit contains: 1 reusable face mask + 1 bottle 50ml Hand Sanitizer

To make things extra interesting, we have agreed to film ourselves attempting the Spicy Ramen Noodle Challenge, if our fundraising target of RM3500 is met. We will be posting it here for your entertainment.

THE PROBLEM

We are living in unusual times, and it has been tough. Many people have lost jobs, loved ones, and so much more. The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has affected our lifestyles and habits in more ways than one could imagine, forcing us to stay indoors and wait for the storm to pass. No matter how devastating Covid-19 is to us, most of us still have a roof above our heads and access to proper sanitation. 

However, things are not the same for certain communities. Adherence to the new Covid-19 norms are nearly impossible as clean water and hand soap is hard to come by for the urban poor and refugees across Selangor. Policies like wearing masks are also hard to follow in short supply. These communities constantly live in fear of contracting the virus, or worse, spreading it to their loved ones. 

Hence, we decided that it is our responsibility to lend a helping hand to those in need. Through this initiative, we will be able to directly impact their lives by providing proper sanitation and peace in mind.
