Speak Up for A Better Malaysia

The Story

Hi everyone! I am Sze Thong, and I am currently the president of AIESEC in HELP University. My team and I are currently fundraising for our Global Volunteer project called "Speak to Lead''. Our project aims to build up secondary school students' technology literacy through the use of English as a teaching medium in order to provide opportunities for students to speak English freely and confidently without caring about others judgement as well as develop themselves in the technology field.
Throwing back to my primary and secondary school times, I was afraid to speak English in public due to my non-English family background. I was afraid that I would make mistakes and be criticized by others for my wrongdoings. Therefore, even up till today, I still believe that some students from non-English backgrounds might face the same problem as I did last time. During these uncertain times of pandemic, we are still doing our best to nurture students who are in need! Speak up to lead yourself, and then lead and empower others to speak up as well.
