Fight for Food Waste

The Story

I am Chung Hiang and 22 years old now. I am studying Chemical Engineering in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia(UTM).

I think all of us know wasting food is a bad habit but did you know around 1.3 billion food been wasted every year. Can you imagine it how many hunger can be feed by this huge number of food waste. 

Beside, food waste has a negative impact on the environment. If wasted food was a country, it would be the third largest producer of carbon dioxide in the world, after the United States and China.

So, I hope that all of us can put a little effort fight for food waste like finish the food on your plate, buy enough for yourself when shopping or donate the extra food to foodbank near you. All of this even though seen like no significant effect on it, but with a little change, we might have a better world.
