Speak Up!!! Increase English Proficiency

The Story

Hi everyone, greating to visit my fund raising pages, my name is Chan Jian Cheng currently a Universiti Sains Malaysia student. Beside, i am also a member of AIESEC in Penang. AIESEC is a global platform for young people to explore and develop their leadership potential. We are a non-political, independent, not-for-profit organisation run by students and recent graduates of institutions of higher education.

As a university student, i am lucky and fortunate that i am able to get sufficient chances to learn English and other subjects and immerse myself in the sea of knowledge.

However, there are lot of underprevilage chlidren who unable accept any quality education. According to data, there are 3,500,000 students in Malaysia do not meet the minimum English proficiency required from secondary school graduates. Beside there are more than actual of underprivileged children who do not have the opportunity to learn English.😟😟😟

Hence, we, AIESEC in Penang, are working on a 6-weeks project namely Speak Up! which aims to increase the English proficiency and confidence level among local students. This project is also aligned with 4th SDG Goal- Quality Education. AIESEC in Penang is striving at its best along with Global Volunteer to make this project happens and we had been doing it for years!✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻

作为一名学生，我很幸运，我有足够的机会学习英语和其他学科，并使自己沉浸在知识之海中。

但是，有很多不足的孩子无法接受任何优质的教育。据统计，马来西亚有3,500,000名学生没有达到中学毕业生的最低英语水平吗？除此之外还有更多没有机会学习英语的贫困儿童。😟😟😟

因此，我们，AIESEC in Penang，正在筹备一个为期6周的项目，Speak Up！目的是提高当地学生的英语水平和自信心。该项目符合第4个SDG目标质量教育。AIESEC in Penang正在与全球志愿者一起尽力而为，以使该项目得以实现!!!✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻
