Lions Club of Kuala Lumpur Bukit Kiara
Our Club was chartered on 8 May 2003, by a group of volunteers. We share a common vision to improve the lives of the underprivileged.
Our Signature Project is "Feed the Needy" project where we distribute 100 packets of pre-packed vegetarian dinner to the poor & needy, visually impaired, handicapped, homeless. This project is on-going into 10 years and runs from Mondays to Fridays except for designated public holidays. This meaningful project has received many positive feedbacks, publicity, and recognition from the public, corporates and Lions Clubs International.
"Gift of Sight" project - This has been an on-going project for our Club. We carry out eye screening for the poor and needy. With the support & funding from the CIMB Foundation, we are able to help hundreds of underprivileged whose sight is affected by cataracts. We collaborate with eye specialist centers that will carry out the cataract operations.
We are actively involved in other projects - youth programs eg Leos, Youth Exchange, Youth Essential Skills (YES) Camp, Peace Poster Contest, community service projects for the elderly, children, sick, homeless, handicapped, visually impaired, mentally challenged and the underprivileged community.
It is a privilege to be able to SERVE!
