We need School Uniforms!

THE PROBLEM

My name is Margaret and I run a community resource center named Jiran Ria “Happy Neighbourhood” for underprivileged students, school drop-out children due to poverty and also orphans staying in the community for the past 9 years. Jiran Ria is a non-profit, non-religious and non-environmental organization that aims to bring a positive change to the hard core poor families in urban community.

Our services are providing free daily nutritional meals, basic education, guided studies and also after-school programme, to help the concerned children and families. Besides the above, with the help of some volunteers (according to their availability), we organize skill classes, financial classes, football tournaments.

I started working with the poor community since 2010 and has been involved in many development work with mothers, youths and children.Successful mothers had team up to assist me in development programme that urged me to register this work as Edufeed Tree Services.

THE SOLUTION

We are doing this campaign to send the children that we work alongside to school with the correct size and style of unifirms to wear. There are 3  communities,and the totol of the students are 118 children most of them are in primary and secondary school.

We also accept second hand uniforms of all sizes that are still in good condition. Unfortunately, we’re not accepting damaged or dirty ones so kindly ensure the condition of the items first

THE IMPACT

Hopefully by next year all the 118 children can go to school with the correct size and style of uniforms for them to wear.
