The 2nd Chance Program is attempting to raise funds to finance a day of outdoor activities for HIV infected and affected children and their caregivers. These children mostly come from low income families and are therefor unable to enjoy leisure activities with their families, which is important for their psycho-social development. As our children often have a background of abuses and mistreatment for which they are currently assigned to the cares of families different from their original parents, it is important for them to create a bond and trust with their caregivers.
With this in mind, this event is meant for the children to enjoy themselves, but also has the specific objective of reinforcing the bonding between children and caregivers and building trust, which is critical for children's psychological health and their ability to develop social skills.
We expect a total number of 50 participants to the event, hence we need your help to support us!
The event will strenghten children's social skills, such as communication, team building, emotion sharing, empathy, which are key abilities for their personal development.
Goal 1 - bus to the location of the event. Amount Needed: MYR1,000.00
Goal 2 - t-shirts for the event. Amount Needed: MYR900.00
Goal 3 - safety kit. Amount Needed: MYR100.00
