This campaign was originally set up to fund the medical bills and expenses of Ms Ting Hie Eng - the mother of a student at Xiamen University. Suffering with cancer, her and her family struggled to cope with the expenses of treatment - Chemotherapy, electrotherapy as well as numerous other medical procedures. Her desire for life motivated her to seek help form the public to raise funds, to ease her family’s financial burden.
Unfortunately, Ms Ting Hie Eng tragically passed away whilst efforts were being made to raise money for her treatments. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family and friends.
However, the fundraising efforts will not be in vein. The money raised will go to her family to cover the existing costs of the treatments and will provide them with a small relief in this tragic time.
The Omega Leo Club and the Youth Leaders Society of Xiamen University Malaysia have organised a run to help raise funds. The run will be held on the 21st October on their campus, 8am - 11am. It’s RM35 to take part, including a free t-shirt and e-certificate.
Those participating in the run have been encouraged to set up their own fundraising page to reach out to their own social circle for donations. The more people this campaign reaches, the more help a family in need will receive. Sp please donate what you can.

As previously mentioned, the money raised will cover the medical bills that the family had to shoulder during treatment.
As you can see, the financial toll of this disease was enormous, so the money raised from this campaign will be of huge help to the beneficiaries.
So donate now, however small. Every penny will count in helping alleviate the pain that this terrible disease has brought.
